UKTheatreSchool students age 16 and over were invited to attend auditions for roles in a new Irn Bru Television Commercial.
The Auditions took place on Sunday 1st March 2009 - Advert Goes Out Live Wed 5th may 2009.
The commercial is a song and dance extravaganza and we are delighted to announce that nine of our students were awarded main parts in the advert as well as a further nine being awarded extra work within the ad - 18 overall UKTheatreSchool students are involved! Well done UKTS!
There were different roles to fill and we are delighted that our studnets were shortlisted to take part. The advert finished filming on the 8th April and the billboard ads went out a couple of weeks ago with the final cut TV advert going out straight after the champions league football match between Arsenal and Manchester United.
Well done to everyone involved - I know you all had a ball and the added bonus of getting paid for having fun!

UKTheatreSchool is the UK’s most prestigious training ground for young talent and the idea to bridge the gap between basic drama clubs and further education performing arts establishments began in the August 2000. At this point it's founder, Lizanne ( Lambie ) Thomson, noticed a clear gap in the market and in the education system to provide proper training for young people looking to advance in performing arts. In January 2001 UKTheatreSchool Performing Arts Academy opened as an independant drama and musical theatre school within the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama ( RSAMD ).
Many young talented people and their parents look for more than just a drama club. UKTheatreSchool provides its students with a structured comprehensive performing arts syllabus within the finest environment. The UKTheatreSchool students train within purpose built studios with sprung wooden flooring, full wall mirrors and ballet barres. Each studio houses high specification sound systems, beautiful upright pianos and natural lighting throughout.
The students at this performing arts academy range from age five years through to nineteen years old for our Youth Programs and from age twenty for our Adult programs...
